RENO, Nev. (August 9, 2019) – After a four-week campaign against 19 high-profile hotel spas across the nation, Spa Toscana in the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino has been named the third best U.S. hotel spa in USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. The AAA Four Diamond resort was the only property nominated from Northern Nevada, and the only West Coast property to break the top five. 

North Carolina’s Ritz-Carlton Spa in Charlotte took first place, and was followed in second place by the Acqualina Spa by ESPA in Miami, Florida. “We are humbled by the achievement of being awarded third place, and would like to thank our exceptional employees and loyal guests for their continued support over the years,” said General Manager, Billy Paganetti. 

20 hotel spas from around the country were nominated by a panel of hotel and wellness experts, based on the quality of their facilities, treatments, and service. Industry awards and guest reviews also helped determine the top 20 nominees. The public was then allowed to vote for their preferred property once a day through July 29, and the Top 10 winners were officially announced August 9.
